Newsletters

Every month Kirk & Simas prepares and publishes a newsletter focusing on one of three major topics:  Small Business, Real Estate, and Family Law. Based on their rotation, each newsletter is functionally a quarterly periodical. The articles are not meant to provide legal advice on specific matters, but rather to provide general advice. If you have a particular question, feel free to contact the authors of any article for more information. 

As its name suggests, the Small Business Reporter highlights important facets, or recent changes in the law that we feel are especially important or useful for local small business owners. This broad scope can cover anything from bookkeeping, to employment, to insurance, and everything in between. 
 
The Real Estate Reporter details legal news and events related to both the commercial and residential real estate industry including, but not limited to financing, purchases, sales, leases, and disclosures. Often, the topics in both the Small Business Reporter, and Real Estate Reporter are of great use to business owners, and there is substantial overlap in the topics discussed.
 
The Family Law Reporter is intended as a general summary and discussion of recent developments in state and federal law of concern to marriage and family counselors and others who deal with people in the throes of a family law matter.
