Shareholder Kathy Patton is an award winning Santa Maria Style BBQ'er. Starting in 2009 she rounded up a travelling team of KIRK & SIMAS associate attorneys, staff, extended family and friends to join her in a unique project to offer custom barbeque services to local charities. 
Old fashion Santa Maria Style Barbeques for 50 have been auctioned off for thousands of dollars with all the proceeds going to charities like the St. Joseph's High School BASH and the Santa Maria Valley Boys & Girls Club.
The donated meals include linguica sausage appetizers, beef tri-tip barbequed to perfection, pinquito beans, bread, Kathy's special home-made salsa, salad and all the labor to serve it.
