Sharon is a native Californian, born in San Gabriel and raised in Orange County. In 1989 she earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Investment Finance from the University of Southern California. After graduating from U.S.C., she spent a few years working in Orange County as a regional supervisor for an appliance company before moving to the Central Coast in 1991.

Sharon worked as a Personal and Business Banking Officer for Wells Fargo Bank in Santa Maria and Lompoc until leaving the Bank to begin law school. She attended the Santa Barbara College of Law and received her Juris Doctorate degree in January 1997.

After graduating from law school, Sharon decided to take some time off from the law and spent the time raising her daughter. She spent two years working as a substitute teacher for the Lompoc Unified School District and four years teaching elementary school at La Purisima Concepcion School in Lompoc.

In 2005, Sharon decided to return to the law and joined KIRK & SIMAS. She began working as a paralegal and law clerk in the Estate Planning and Administration and Business and Real Estate Departments and since passing the California Bar Exam continues to work for KIRK & SIMAS as an associate in those areas.

Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and friends, but most of all, enjoys watching her daughter’s numerous sporting events. Having spent a great deal of the last 15 years working in various sectors of the Central Coast community, in business and with children, Sharon has strived not only to be involved in her community, but to enjoy every minute of it. She is currently a member of the Lompoc Rotary Club and the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum Board of Directors. She looks forward to becoming more involved with both organizations and discovering additional opportunities in Santa Maria.
