Robyn was born and raised in North Carolina. While living in Holland, she received her undergraduate degree in Management from the University of Maryland, with a minor in Journalism. She then attended and graduated cum laude from Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she served as an Associate Editor on the Thomas Cooley Law Review. She relocated to the Central Coast in January 2009 when she joined KIRK & SIMAS. Robyn focuses her practice in family law, creditors’ rights and real property litigation.
Robyn began her legal career as an intern in the Wake County, NC, District Attorney’s office. Following that, she worked in a boutique Raleigh law firm focusing on creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and real property litigation. Before relocating to the Central Coast, Robyn was Claims Counsel at a North Carolina title company where she again focused on real property litigation and subrogation rights in both state and bankruptcy courts. Robyn expanded her practice into family law when she joined KIRK & SIMAS.
Robyn is admitted to the California State Bar, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the North Carolina State Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Robyn is an avid runner and competes in races ranging from local 5Ks to marathons. She brings the same toughness and perseverance required to run 26.2 miles to the benefit of her clients.
