BRIAN F. SIMAS

Brian Simas joined Kirk & Simas as an Associate in 2009.  A native of Orcutt, Brian obtained his undergraduate education from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo . In 2006, he graduated from Cal Poly with honors and dual degrees – a B.A. in Agricultural Business, concentration in Agribusiness Finance, and a B.A. in Wine and Viticulture, concentration in Wine Business. In addition to his studies in enology, viticulture and the wine business, Brian worked in the wine industry extensively during school, interning as assistant winemaker at a boutique Edna Valley winery, managing staff for the San Luis Obispo Vintner’s Association tasting room, and serving as President of Cal Poly’s Wine and Viticulture organization.
 

Brian received his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2009. During his time at Pepperdine, Brian focused his coursework on Business and Real Estate Law. He was awarded a fellowship with Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law, served as Associate Editor of Pepperdine Law Review, presided as Chief Financial Officer of the Pepperdine Student Bar Association and competed on Pepperdine’s Trial Team.

 

After graduating from Pepperdine, Brian returned to Santa Maria to join Kirk & Simas.
